Lincoln University Medal

The Lincoln University Medal
Introduced by Chancellor T C Lambie in 2008, the Lincoln University Medal is to acknowledge those people who, in the opinion of the Lincoln University Council, have provided long-term meritorious voluntary service and support to the fabric or reputation of Lincoln University.

The award is a cast bronze medallion with the recipient’s name and the words “for meritorious service” engraved upon it. The Lincoln University Medal Committee, established by Council for the purpose of assessing nominations and recommending recipients to Council, has the discretion to recommend the award of one or more medals in any one year or even not to award a medal.

Award Nomination Criteria

The Nominee will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • normally awarded to anyone who has provided long-term meritorious voluntary service and support to the fabric or reputation of Lincoln University;
  •  recipient may be a staff member, Lincoln University graduate, or a member of the Lincoln community;
  •  the Committee will consider the quality and quantity of time and/or resources volunteered by the nominee;
  •  the Committee will consider the effect of the volunteered work on the furthering of the interests of Lincoln University.


Nominations close on 13 February 2018 for the 2018 awards and on 31 August 2018 for the 2019 awards.
